The Saint went off on Wednesday night. Got over some early technical difficulties on stage & had a great night. Thanks again to Scott & Meg for their generous hospitality.

Afterward, we rode in convoy with the two other bands on the line up – the great folks from Against The Tide & War Plan Red – to their place about 20 minutes away. Not just great bands, The Tides – and WPR, and their friends and family, had us stay at their place for the night – and made breakfast for us in the morning. We had an amazing night, hanging out & talking all things philosophy and rock’n’roll. Lovely people – the kind of folk who make life on the road a memorable and positive experience. A huge thanks to the Grygo crew at Grygo HQ.

After breakfast, we began the 3 hour ride from New Jersey to Allentown PA, for an all-ages show last night at Crocodile Rock. A couple of great, young local acts opened the show, including Sides Of A Circle – who, while watching them play, took us back to when we were 16 & starting out. We hit the stage at about 9pm & the kids went nuts (some from the previous bands). The show seemed to be over in the blink of an eye & we were on the road again to a hotel out of town.

Right now we’re heading across to North Carolina for a show tomorrow night in Fayetteville at Black Cat Lounge. It’s a 10 hour trip (we’re about half way) in an endless line of grid-locked traffic. Hopefully we get there before midnight…

Checkya tomorrow.
Fires out.

PS Update: 5 hour traffic jam in North Virginia – It’s midnight & we’re still 2 hours away…
