Abbotsford Song Bootleg Video

The latest song we’ve written is all about Abbotsford. The video below was the first time I’d played it in public – over at Stalk and Kim’s place the week before November’s Revelry show. This is the only recording of ‘Abbotsford Song’ we have so far (it’s pre recording studio etc). Thanks to Stalk for some artistic camera work…

Have a great weekend.

Euro & China Dates Soon, Stones Doco On iView

Caught the Stones doco, Crossfire Hurricane last night on ABC One. The things those guys have seen & been through, lost a few band members along the way too. Check it out if you can – click here to watch it on ABC iview. Next Wed at 8:30pm they’re featuring Queen – now that should be something to see (got my Queen t-shirt on as I write).

Echos – Floyd Live At Pompeii 1972

Magnificent summer Monday in Melbourne. Sun’s out, weather’s fine. Something to cruise through the afternoon with. The mighty Floyd. Hard to believe this epic song is over 40 years old, first released on their Meddle album (1971). Kick back, turn it up…

Blast From Distant Past

Yesterday’s post featured a short film by Vlado Ianev set to our latest single ‘Perfect Day’. Vlado and I were in a band together (years ago) called Main Speed Drive. After having toured many times around Europe playing drums in a cover band, he moved to Australia from Bulgaria in search of a new life. He joined the band shortly after arriving here. There aren’t many pics of Main Speed – the band didn’t last long. I don’t think we actually released anything. Anyway, this is a pic of us on stage at a pub in Northcote.

That’s Vlado on drums (it’s blurry but the only shot I have of him behind the kit). And yep, that’s me with long hair & tie-die shirt. WTF.

Perfect Day & The Zu Boardsports St Kilda – Video

Our friend Vlado Ianev shot and produced this video for Zu Boardsports, St Kilda. He used our latest single, Perfect Day as the soundtrack.

Vlado and I were in a band together years ago – he’s a great drummer. These days he’s a film producer, doing some fantastic work.
