Going down to Northcote Social Club this Friday to catch New Gods EP launch. Two great songs on radio at the moment, On Your Side and Razorblades. Bought tix, got a feeling this show could sell out ($15 ea).
Joining em on stage – Jessica Says 9pm & Montero 10.10pm. New Gods 11.20pm til 12.20am.

Magnificent summer Monday in Melbourne. Sun’s out, weather’s fine. Something to cruise through the afternoon with. The mighty Floyd. Hard to believe this epic song is over 40 years old, first released on their Meddle album (1971). Kick back, turn it up…

We’re in the process of locking down China tour dates for this year in April & May. The video below was taken side of stage on our drummer Kent’s camera – Beijing Midi festival May 2011.

Yesterday’s post featured a short film by Vlado Ianev set to our latest single ‘Perfect Day’. Vlado and I were in a band together (years ago) called Main Speed Drive. After having toured many times around Europe playing drums in a cover band, he moved to Australia from Bulgaria in search of a new life. He joined the band shortly after arriving here. There aren’t many pics of Main Speed – the band didn’t last long. I don’t think we actually released anything. Anyway, this is a pic of us on stage at a pub in Northcote.
That’s Vlado on drums (it’s blurry but the only shot I have of him behind the kit). And yep, that’s me with long hair & tie-die shirt. WTF.

Our friend Vlado Ianev shot and produced this video for Zu Boardsports, St Kilda. He used our latest single, Perfect Day as the soundtrack.
Vlado and I were in a band together years ago – he’s a great drummer. These days he’s a film producer, doing some fantastic work.

Waiting at the pulsating hub that is Coffs Harbour Airport for a flight to Melbourne. The new year begins.

Took this pic a couple of days ago in my mum’s backyard, Tamworth.
Over on the coast now at South West Rocks – beach paradise, the weather amazing.
Have a great New Year’s Eve!
See ya in 2013.

Sitting out on the back verandah after a couple of big days doing the Christmas thing. The last 48 hours we’ve baby-sitted, visited family out in the country and back in Melbourne, and last night played guitar til the wee hours over at Stalk & Kim’s place. Recovering as I write.

Stalk & Kim’s place 2am this morning. (Thanks to Stalk for the pic)
My dad will be here shortly, down from South West Rocks (NSW). Tomorrow we’ll both fly up to Tamworth to see mum for a few days, then out to the coast to where he lives. Feels like a mini tour.
Have a good one.
